　　主讲人简介：
    Bruce Smith received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1987.He joined the
Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Dalhousie University in 1988.  He served as Director of the Division
of Statistics from 2001-2009, and has been the Chair of the Department since 2013. His research interests are
in time series analysis and point processes, with application to environmental science and statistical genetics.
